One - Two

Christian Meier winning the Espoir RRThis weekend Symmetrics cracked a big nut by winning the National Road Race Championships in Canada... This is a title the team has wanted for quite some time. And this year they got two-- the Espoir RR with Christian Meier and the Elite RR with Cameron Evans.

Not only did Evans win, but Andrew Randell came second and Svein Tuft was 4th, making it a 1-2 and 4 for the S-Team. Symmetrics has dominated the Elite TT with Svein Tuft for the last four years, but have always fallen just short of snagging the Road elusive title. This year when the Tuft and Meier were 2nd in the TT we actually took that as a good omen for the Road Race. And sure enough those guys in yellow delivered.

Ironically the last time (and first time) a single team won both Espoir and Elite RR titles was 2002 when Sympatico-JetFuel won with Andrew Randell and Dominique Rollin. Anyhow, read more about it here and below are some photos from the race...
