My New Team

I’ve been watching the Jet Fuel Coffee team racing since I was 14 years old. Racing for me was the obvious route to take as my dad raced when we was a junior in Poland, and has always loved the sport. When I started racing, watching the Jet Fuel Coffee boys dominate the road circuit in Ontario, I always wanted to be a part of the team’s long running success. Now I’m a part of the team I used to dream of racing for when I was 14 years old! So needless to say, I’m very excited to be a part of one of Canada’s top teams. This is a big stepping-stone for me, and I’m thankful for the opportunity.

Training for the upcoming season is going to be key. I have plenty of motivation, and great direction in my new team leader Andrew Randell. Together we have come up with a training plan for the next few months and later into the racing season. I live about 12k from my training partner and friend Buck Miller; we train together about five times a week, sometimes more. Having Buck live so close sure helps the long winter rides go by.

Over the next month and a half or so, training will be lots of miles outside in the cold, and a good routine in the gym. Winter takes a tough toll on the minds of most bike racers, but my motivation comes from being on a great new team, and knowing that I only have to bear it until January 1st, when Buck and I head south helps a lot.
